Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • -- 1 tsp vanilla

  • -- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature

  • -- 1 egg, room temperature

  • -- 3/4 tsp baking soda

  • -- spare sugar to roll cookies in

  • -- 1 1/4 cups flour

  • -- 1 tbsp milk

  • -- 1 cup peanut butter

  • -- 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • -- 1/4 tsp salt

  • -- 3/4 cup sugar

  • -- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In another large bowl, beat the butter and peanut butter until fluffy. Add sugars and beat til smooth. Add the egg, beat. Add milk and vanilla and beat. Using large teaspoonfuls, roll individual cookies into balls, then roll in the sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Using a fork, lightly indent each cookie with a criss cross pattern, but don’t flatten them. Bake for 10–12 minutes, being careful not to overbake.
