Gooseberry Jam

About 4 pints of jam

Ingredients

  • -- 1/2 cup water

  • -- 2 cups sugar

  • -- 3 1/2 to 4 cups green gooseberries


Instructions

Cook berries in water until berries are soft. Slowly add the sugar and simmer until the sugar is dissolved. Bring to a rapid boil and boil until thick (7–9 minutes?), stirring frequently. Ladle into hot canning jars and process for about 10 minutes
